Welcome to Fresh from the Farm, a Community - Supported Agriculture (CSA) program based originally out of Blount County Tennessee. We have moved to McMinn County Tennessee but still provide the same coverage area. We offer weekly deliveries of locally grown produce from The Tellico Mennonite Community in Tellico Plains, Tennessee. We have also teamed up with Turner Farm of Maryville Tennessee to bring you weekly farm fresh eggs if you choose to add them. Turner Farm is a “Pick Tennessee” Farm.


Just like you would purchase a subscription to a local newspaper or magazine, a CSA is a subscription to a local farming community. Instead of receiving a weekly paper you will receive a weekly basket of locally grown fruits, vegetables, and fresh baked goods from our farmers in The Tellico Community Market.

Benefits of a Membership

As a member of Fresh From The Farm you get to know the farmer and where your produce is grown. You get produce that is picked at it's peak daily and have it delivered fresh picked. You no longer have to purchase produce that is picked prematurely to allow the transit time to reach the consumer. We are talking about the difference in taste between a gas ripened, store bought tomato and a fresh vine ripened tomato like mama use to put on the dinner table. You can rely on environmentally friendly farming methods which are not conducive to mass farming.

Benefits to the Mennonite Farmer

He can spend his time with a focus on growing the best possible product knowing that the market is ready when the crop is. He will reduce his risk and losses in getting product to sale more efficiently. The mix of spring, summer, and fall crops with a developed market will allow him to more fully utilize the growing season that is available.
Although we are not Organic Certified, we do use organic growing methods in our farming practice. Everything on the farm is grown and harvested by horse or hand. Our Farmers do not use any type of tractors or modern farming equipment.
