Fresh from the Farm has partnered with The Community Market in Tellico Plains, Tennessee to supply our members with fresh, locally grown vegetables and fruits.
What is a Membership? By purchasing a membership with Fresh from the Farm you are committing to support the local community, in return the members will receive a weekly box of produce delivered to a local location.
What will be in my Box? The box will contain fresh produce reflective of the growing season. As well as an occasional treat from the bakery such as homemade bread, cookies, cinnamon rolls, or Jam. The oven they use is WOOD BURNING and a draft horse walks on a 'treadmill' to turn the bread hook! Each box will average 7 - 9 different veggies.
What is the time frame? Deliveries will begin in April 2020 and follow every Tuesday afternoon until around Thanksgiving November 2020.
What is the commitment? Memberships can be purchased for the whole season with 6 week billing or in 12 week blocks. This allows the farmers to know how much to plant in order to ensure the best produce for you.
What is the cost? $32 a week for a whole share and $20 for a 1/2 share. Payment Options and discounts are available when purchasing a Full Season Full Share membership From April - November 2020.
Is the produce Organic? Although our farmers are not certificated as organic they do grow the produce in a wholesome and environmentally responsible manner. They do not use herbicides or any GMO products. All the produce comes from the Tellico Plains Community and is the same produce they feed their families. Everything on the farm in grown and harvested by horse or hand. Our Farmers do not use any type of tractors or modern farming equipment.
What about the box? The box is 1/2 bushel in size. This will feed the average vegetable loving family of 4 for about a week. A larger family or veggie lovers may want to order a double membership. The boxes will need to be recycled at home.
